Zanshin Karate Jutsu Affiliate in England
was formed in 2005 by Sensei`s Nigel Lee and Malcolm Mclure, having both had more than enough of Martial Arts Associations offering the same syllabus for silly amounts of money. The founders of OKKO decided to place more importance on teaching its students Self-Defence within a Traditional Karate style Wado-Ryu.
- OKKO are members of the highly respected British Combat Association (B.C.A) run by Peter Constandine 8th Dan Karate and Geoff Thompson 6th Dan Karate, both Peter and Geoff have written highly acclaimed books dealing with the realisation of street violence and Fear.
- OKKO are now also affiliated to the Zanshin Karate Jutsu under the instruction of Sensei Danny Corr 4th Dan B.C.A, Zanshin Karate Jutsu (ZKJ) and are based in Ireland.
- OKKO are also members of the largest National Governing Body in the Country the Amateur Martial Association or (A.M.A).
- OKKO karate instruction has set its roots firmly in the anaylisis of Kata or form, otherwise known as Bunkai, with the senior Instructors, the Late Sensei Malcolm McClure. And Nigel Lee both completing the world famous Sensei Iain Abernethy 5th Dan (B.C.A) instructors course, Author of Throws for strikers, and the Bunkai-Jutsu book and numerous others not forgetting some brilliant DVD`s, the black belts in OKKO attend Iain Abernethy seminars regulary, to gain a greater understanding of the principles behind the kata`s.
- Although OKKO`s main roots are in Wado-Ryu we by no means stick to the one style, we practise many techniques from other styles of martial arts such as , Shotokan, Shito-Ryu, Goju kempo, Aikido,Judo,Kickboxing,Boxing, Thai Boxing, Savate, Kung-Fu,Krav Maga, to name just a few.
- Senior Instructor Nigel Lee comes recommended by Iain Abernethy 5th Dan B.C.A and also holds certification in Iain`s Applied Karate and Bunaki (kata application) in demonstrating Skill, Competence, and the understanding of the fundamentals of Bunkai. and is also recognised as an instructor with the British Combat Association. And the Amateur Martial Association, the largest Governing Body in the country. By insuring with the B.C.A and the A.M.A this gives OKKO Karate-Jutsu fantastic insurance cover both public liability and public indemnity, ensuring okko students are perfectly protected while in the dojo and also that of the spectators

Thankyou all kindly for welcoming okko karate jutsu to the zanshin karate jutsu family, it goes to show Irish Hospitality is the best in the world.
OKKO`s youngest wanted to express there thanks to you all, and decided on a picture of them thanking you personally.
As some of you maybe aware the end of 2006 was a very sad year for okko, As we lost our friend and senior instructor and Co-Founder Malcolm McClure, this affected the younger students greatly, as they were very unsure whether or not they would still have a karate school to go to. Well we are still here and getting stronger and now the future of okko karate jutsu looks great, thanks mainly to Sensei Danny Corr and the students of ZKJ for welcoming us with open arms.
The children are very excited about the affiliation of okko under zkj, and wish to pass on there hello`s and thanks and all look forward to one day all training together under the same roof, im certain we will all learn from you and you from us, further cementing the friendships between both organisations.
I have promised my students that when i attend in April i will bring with me gifts, cards and anything else they would like me to pass on to you all.

As most of you are aware Nigel Lee is still trying to raise money for the Malc McClure Memorial fund, after racking his brains to come up with an idea of raising more money, he was given the advice he had been looking for, an Auction, now this will either be from this site through the guestbook or on E-Bay, however as with everything in life he has already encountered some obstacles, the main one being E-BAY, so he is going down a different route to raise the funds.

What books and DVD`s?- i would like to thank the following people so far, for there very kind donations to this worthy appeal, Lawrence Kane, Lawrence is donating 3 Books he has written all signed by himself (collectors lot this), Loren Christenson, for donating Books Signed, Jamie Clubb has very kindly offered some great support, Peter Constandine and Geoff Thompson of the worldly respected B.C.A for donating Books and DVD`s, Iain Abernethy.summersdale production company for offering there support, im also awaiting replies from other authors of fantastic books and dvd`s. Thankyou all so much for your support.
How will the Auction work?- The Auction will be held on this site, the rules for bidding are as followers,
RULES.
1, All bidders must send an e-mail to okkokarate@hotmail.co.ukprior to placing there bid, please leave your postal address, name and contact phone number. On recieving this e-mail, i will send you an e-mail back with a bidding code.
2, All bids will be done through a guestbook i will set up, simply add your bidding code and in the message box place your Bid.
3. Please DO NOT leave credit card details on the site, also please DO NOT send your details through E-Mail.
4. The winner will be notified by E-mail, and then by Phone call, please have your bidders code at hand.
5. The winning Bidder must pay the P&P (it will be kept as low as possible).
6. Bid retractions can only be done through E-Mail, however they cannot be retracted after the end of the Auction. (Auction must be paid in full ).
7.The Auction will last for a month, and the time of starting and finishing will be clearly stated and shown.
8. All bidders must be 18 years or over please.
9.There will be a starting price, so all bids must be over this amount (amount to be set & announced shortly).
10. Bidders may enter a maximum bid though only through E-Mail, this bid will only be shown if a bidder has been outbid.
11. Anybody found not to be serious about bidding or paying if they win, WILL BE SHAMED publicly you have been warned!!!!!.

It has been estimated that the RRP of the whole lot that will be in the auction will be well over £500, with the added bonus of these items being autographed, it would take a collector an awful long time to put together this one time offer, please bid with that in mind.
